Jean Pachla, Champion with an Exceptional Record Boasting 7 National Wins!

For over two decades, Jean Pachla has made a name for himself in the world of pigeon racing, developing a strain of pigeons with impressive consistency, able to shine at any distance.

In 2022, his pigeon “Igor1” (FR2016-081114) once again distinguished himself, winning the title of Perpignan Ace Pigeon over three years at the CIF (French Interregional Club) level. Ranked:

  • 65th National Perpignan 2020
  • 30th National Perpignan 2021
  • 52nd National Perpignan 2023

Igor1 comes from a prestigious lineage, inheriting from the breeder “211892-15,” a former Ace Pigeon of CNP and CLCIP, whose career was cut short by an injury. On his mother’s side, FR13-297858, a dream breeder, is a direct daughter of the Golden Pair, Le Crack FR07-092851 x La Vitoria FR07-056450.

A Philosophy Rooted in Observation and Returning to Origins
Jean Pachla often says, “Nothing is left to chance.” Passionate about selection, he consistently returns to his foundational bloodlines, such as that of “Super Bebel” and the offspring of the Golden Pair, top national winners whose descendants’ quality is well-proven. Jean has also introduced bloodlines from renowned champions but always returns to the basics of his lineage. This disciplined selection has produced a strain of robust and resilient pigeons, admired by enthusiasts in the region and beyond.

In winter, his loft follows a natural and simple diet, primarily consisting of farm mixes and rapeseed to facilitate molting. Spring is dedicated to Jean’s other passions, like hunting and fishing. “They live their lives,” he says. However, once the racing season begins, strict care resumes, with electrolytes, brewer’s yeast, and homemade infusions as part of his care regimen.

A Natural Instinct and Renowned Origins Behind the Golden Pair
Jean Pachla is much more than a pigeon fancier; he is a nature man with many talents. A hunter, fisherman, and keen observer, he has always taken advantage of his environment to raise exceptional pigeons. His famous founding pair, derived from the Catrysse and Pol Tossens lines, produced champions capable of performing over distances from 70 to 1,000 km. Pigeons like Igor, Marta, Le Crack, Pau La Vittoria, Super Bébel, and many others are the proud representatives of this lineage, admired even in other lofts.

The Pachla Method: Simple and Effective

Jean prefers widowhood for his cocks and hens and, while he uses few supplements, he emphasizes quality care during the season. A high-quality commercial mix and natural infusions form the basis of his pigeons’ diet. During the season, he is attentive to every detail without overloading his regimen, favoring “natural” solutions over chemicals. “I make my own herbal teas and use a homemade purifying mix to give them a good rest between races,” Jean explains.

With a colony of around 140 pigeons, Pachla stands out in competitions, even against larger lofts. The quality of his pigeons is undeniable, and their consistency speaks for itself, race after race, season after season.

In conclusion, Jean Pachla embodies a pigeon racing tradition rooted in simplicity and instinct. Success continues for this man of nature, for whom each race is another opportunity to witness the excellence of his pigeons unfold.
